All Squared Away

I just bought all our flights for within Europe.

Paris ------> Dublin

Dublin -----> Edinburgh

At this point we will just take a bus from Edinburgh to London (which will suck... but oh well.)

I'm so excited!

Easter

He is risen! We celebrated Easter with lots of family. It was perfect.
I led worship at church (and by the way- the sermon was amazing. I sat in both services and learned even more the second time around.) Then we finished up watching the Masters. I still can't believe that Kenny Perry didn't pull out a win, but thats okay. And then we headed over to Jay and Leslie's. I love my family. :)

Baby Kyler

Baby Kyler is finally here and he is just perfect!

Liss' due date was Easter, so he was born two days late. I think that's alright- he was the perfect size at 7 lbs 2 oz, and 20" long when he decided to come out. This morning around 2 AM, Liss' water broke and her contractions were close together and getting stronger. She arrived at the hospital around 4:00. My dad drove out to her house to get her, and then she and my mom went to the hospital. She was already 4 centimeters dilated when she arrived. She received her epidural, much to her satisfaction, soon after she was in her gown and ready to go. Lucky for her, she only pushed for a minute. Maybe two. Then out came Ky, and like I said earlier- He was perfect.

Here is my favorite family around.

Later in the afternoon, after I took Reese Makena home for a nap, we returned to the hospital. Reese wore her new "I'm a Big Sister" shirt that I bought her and looked pretty darn cute.

This movie is a-dor-able. Seriously. It's cute.
Really sorry people, but I have no idea how to flip a video. So either turn your head or turn your laptop. Please and thank you. :) Basically, life is just great. I have a perfectly sweet and charming niece, and now I have a handsome nephew as well. Thanks, Jesus for such incredible blessings.

Welcome to the World!

Jesus, Jesus, How I Love Thee

I love Jesus. Gosh.... Yes. I love him. Every Wednesday I go to a worship night at some friends' house. Anywhere between 15 and 35 of us head into the basement where mismatched carpets line the floor, tea lights flicker (to create ambiance, of course), and a single strand of blue Christmas lights stretch across the ceiling. It's perfect. What I love about it is that there aren't any frills. It's just a dark freezing cold room filled with passionate students ready to worship our creator. A couple friends play guitar and we have an overhead projector so we can all follow along. Are you picturing it? Tonight was a great night. It was a good worship set, which always help, and I could just feel the passion. We sang Amazing Grace, a different version than what most are used to, but I absolutely love it. It is such a powerful song, even though I've heard it about a million times before.

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound.
That saved a wretch like me.
Once was lost but now I'm found,
Once was blind but now I see

Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah.

So powerful. What a blessing it is to be able to serve a God who loves us- a God who wants to save us, and wants us to be free. Free from bondage. Free from slavery. Free from being silenced by fear or anything else.

How sweet it is to be in the presence of a God who is compassionate, strong, courageous, gentle, slow to anger, abounding in love.

Be blessed, my friends, and know that wherever you and whatever your story- there is a God who loves you with a love deeper and more unconditional than your mind can even fathom. As I once read, he loves us to the very core of our beings- and that is something I am dwelling on tonight.
